Jan Lokpal

There is a big support for Anna Hazare especially in his second protest. But there are also critics who speak against Anna. Baba Ramdev moved out of the scene when there was question and cases against his trust and its administrator Balakrishna. But Anna still continues his protest though there were some accuse against his way of earning fame in celebrating his birthday. Even for protesting for a noble cause we need support of media, and some advertisement is needed. So, he advertised himself. This is not a mistake.

The Lokpal bill will not eradicate corruption from the country. But it is a weapon against corruption. It is a step against corruption in our country. Only in 18 states we have lokyuktha and in some states it is not so powerful. The existing system is not successful in avoiding corruption. It is mainly because they are not independent. We are quite aware of the independence of CBI since Congress came to power.

Though Lokpal is expected to come as an independent body, like election commission, the power depends on who is the chief of the Lokpal. Its efficiency and success also depends on the same. For example, the power of election commission is fully exercised and everyone came to know about it when T N Seshan was the chief election commissioner. In Gopalswami's period also it was good. But we saw the commission's weakness during Naveen Chawla's period. Similarly if Lokpall Bill was passed, its power also depends on who will be the chief of it.

The demands of Anna are not something which are unacceptable. His demand for not taking the bill to standing committee is also acceptable as the committee which was made by the government before was just some negotiation between Congress and Anna team. It does not consist of another party member or anyone other than the government and Anna team. So, it will not be useful in discussion of the bill in the committee. Anna team also compromised with judicial accountability which is also correct. Bringing lower bureaucrats under Lokpal is also possible and necessary as people suffer at their hands most of the time. Citizen's charter and grievances also help the work to be done on time in government offices. At present only few of the employees in government offices, especially state government are actually working. Most of the government employees do not know what work is going on in their office currently, and even their responsibilities.

More than 300 lakh crores of Indian money are in foreign banks. Corruption for these many years is the main cause for such huge amount. We can reduce that at least to some extent in the coming years through the Lokpal and there are also possibilities to recover those amount rather the action by government after many years when all those who have the money  convert them to some other form of investments.

All of us know about this serious problem in our country. We did not dare to take any step against it. We just kept talking and at the most writing about that. This also created more awareness also among the public showed that a common man also can do something useful against corruption. Anna tried something more than us and we wish him all the best to succeed in his effort. We support him too.

Unite to fight against corruption

One of the most attention required problem in our country is corruption. All of us have grudge over those who are involved in that. But the initiative is taken by a person who is receiveing a warm support across the nation. This is a protest for a noble cause which requires support of people from all class. Though the government tries to distract the goal we need to aim at our goal. Everyone must support this regardless of diversity of caste, religion, etc.

Ahmed Bukhari, Shahi Imam of Delhi's Jama Masjid has advised Muslims to stay away from Anna's movement. He states that Islam does not condone the worship of nation or land. How is this related to supporting to Anna Hazare's fight against corruption? Unless Islam objects loyalty towards the nation, Muslims can support Anna. We could see a lot of muslims supporting Anna despite his advice.

I feel Congress is using its last weapon against Lokpal. They are diverting the issue with caste, and religion. Corruption has affected nation-wide across all types of people. We all have to join hands to fight against it. It makes no sense in looking for culture or tradition in supporting Anna. Nation and people's welfare is more important.

The food inflation has risen to 9.03% last week. It was even more in previous months. the government is looking way to reduce that by increasing interset rates by the Reserve Bank. At present there are about 300 lakh crores of Indian money invested in foreign banks. if it were brought to India, it would be the best way to help people. But government is not taking action so slowly that those who have accounts in foreign banks will transfer that amounts to othet investments like shares, hotels, etc and move to safer side. This also a form of freedom in this secular state.

Ramayana and Psychology

Dasaratha announced his wish to anoint Rama as the King of Kosala. Rama was asked to do some poojas and austerity for the previous night of his crown. People were also rejoicing after the announcement. It was like a festival in the kingdom, especially in Ayodhya.

Manthara came to Kaikeyi's palace and informed her the news. Kaikeyi presented her a necklace for the good news she had brought. Manthara threw it away and said, "Woe to you, stupid woman. All is lost
and stupidly you laugh with joy. How can you be blind to the misfortune that is coming to you? Am I to laugh or cry at this folly?"

Manthara started changing the mind of Kaikeyi. Psychology, especially of a married woman is shown here exactly in Ramayana. "Bharatha ids not in the city. The King has choosen the right time to cheat you and your son by crowning Rama", she added. Kaikeyi thought Manthara, "Like any other officious personal attendant, was ingratiatingly jealous in her mistress's interests. How could this woman understand the goodness of Rama, or affairs of State?"

"If Rama is crowned, Kausalya will get all respect. You need to depend on her even for offering to a beggar at your door." Dasaratha's rule is praised as there was no beggar in the kingdom. But Manthara means to say that Rama's rule will be such that people start begging to others. If one wish to say evil about others he can go to any extent and say which can never happen. But Kaikeyi was not moved by those words. Manthara added a lot to convince. "Once Rama is crowned there is danger for Bharatha's life."

Kaikeyi was intelligent and a she was a good warrior. She cannot accept all irrational speech by Manthara. then Manthara used a last chance to convince kaikeyi psychologically. Kaikeyi belongs to the kingdom of Kekaya. Her father is the king of Kekaya kingdom. A married woman can easily be convinced if she gets a fear that something happens to her parents, or the place she was born and brought up. In that case she cannot think and differentiate good and bad.

Manthara said, "Do you remember once Janaka attacked Kekaya? Janaka was defeated as Dasaratha was supporting your father. But if Rama is crowned, then in case if Janaka wages a war on Kekaya, Rama would be supporting his father-in-law as your husband did. Your father would be defeated. Do you want your father to lose his kingdom?" Kaikeyi now has onlty thought of saving her father's kingdom. Manthara added, "There is a way to save from this danger.", and reminded her about the two boons Dasartha promised kaikeyi long back.

The way Manthara convinced Kaikeyi shows the psychology of a woman, and how it is handled by Manthara in evil manner. The epics shows such characters and  incidents to teach us not to fall into the traps of such people. Learning from the lives of our ancestors is the main aim of such histories, which are told to us in form of stories.

Congress supports...

The Congress governemnt supports Raja who is accused in 2G spectrum scam. Kapil Sibal said no loss to government in 2G scam. Congress supports Kalmadi in CWG scam. But they are against Ramdev who fights against corruption. Congress is against BJP who tried to hoist national flag in Kashmir.

With no evidence, Dhik Vijay Singh abused Ramdev. Man Mohan Singh, the Prime Minister, changes his stand every day. When Sushma Swaraj said that there was a discussion on a case of Ex-CVC Thomas, Man Mohan denied saying that issue was not brought to him. But when Chidambaram accepted it, he also accepted to have discussed.

The government got details about account holders in foreign banks. Yet they are not ready to reveal, though the foreign banks had no restriction over it.

But this time, they did a great mistake by moving Ramdev from Delhi at mid night. This is not good both for the country and the Congress government. This has got a lot of condemn from almost everyone other than Congress.

Already Congress government has got a lot of criticisms in these years which made sure that it cannot win the next time. This action of Congress adds to those. Moreover Congress is not having media under its control as DMK did. So, all media are competing in tearing the mask of Congress. There are more chances for Congress to lose worser than how DMK lost in the state as the awareness of these corruption and terrorism is more among the people.

The bottom line of all the actions of Congress is:
Congress government is against those who are against terrorism or corruption.

Self Lineage

For kids, what we first teach is to call his/her mother and father, and other relatives. Then they are taught his/her mother's name, father's name, etc. This is for the child to know about his family, to be more specific, the ancestors, or lineage. Normally we know maximum upto our grand father or  great grand father's name. In Hinduism the Veda is divided into 4 branches called Saakha, and each of us follow any one of those. They are Rik, Yajus, Saama, and Atharva. For each of the braanch, there are some rules, which we call Sutra.

Yajus saakha is further divide into Krishna and Sukla.

The sutras are:
Rik - Saankalaayana and Aaswalaayana
Krishna Yajus - Aapasthambha, Hiranyakesi, Bodhaayana, Bhaaradwaaja, Maanava, Vaikhaanasa.
Sukla Yajus - Kaathyaayana
Saama - Masaka or Aarsheya, Laatyaayana, Draahyaayana
Atharva – Vaithaana, Kaushitaki

To identify an individual's lineage we use Gotra. Pravara refers to the rishi's who belong to that Gotra. Some rishis who belong to a Gotra, started new lineage, leading to new Gotra. Hence a rishi's name can appear in more than one Gotra. For each Gotra, the pravara rishis may vary from two to five. So, once a person knows about his lineage, he needs to tell that to elders when wishing them. It starts as "Abhivaadaye...".

It is a sort of self-introduction while wishing our elders. In return they will bless us, which is called Pratyaabivaadanam. It will be like, Aayushmaan Bhava, or Dirgaayushmaan Bhava. In our introduction, we mention our Pravara, Gotra, Sutra, Saakha, Naama. Naama refers to name, which is the leaf of the tree.

Abhivaadaye looks like:

"Abhivaadaye <Rishi's names> [dva | triya | chatur | pancha]Rishiya <Gotra name> Gotrah <Sutra name> Sutrah <Saakha name> saakhadhyaayee <Naama> sarmaanaam aham asmi Bhoh"

Rishi's for a few Gotra's:

Naitruva Kasyapa Gotra: Kasyapa, Avatsara, Naitruva
Kowsika Gotra: Vishwamitra, Agamarshana, Kowsika
Bharadwaja Gotra: Aangirasa, Brahaspatya, Bharadwaja, Upreti
Srivatsa Gotra: Bhargava, Chyavana, Aapnavana, Aurva, Jamadagni
Vadoola Gotra: Bhargava, Vaitavya, Saveedasa

and so, on.

Depending on number of rishi's name, we have, dva, triya, chatur, pancha, which means two, three, four, and five respectively.

An example Abhivaadaye is,

Abhivaadaye Kasyapa, Avatsara, Naitruva triyaarishiya Naitruva Kasyapa Gotrah aapatsamba Sutrah Yajusaakhadhyaayee Neelamega sarmaanaam aham asmi bhoh

I, Neelamegam belonging to Naitruva Kasyapa Gotra, of three rishi's Kasyapa, Avatsara, Naitruva, following aapatsamba Sutra of Yajusaakha of Veda saluting you Your Honour.

Our culture and its importance must be taken to our next generation.

Upper Caste

Since independence people are divided into communities and benefits are given to people those who do not belong to Forward Community. I'm not sure on what basis this system is formed and on what basis they say Backward, Scheduled, etc.

If it was formed based on economic status, they could have given monetory help to those who are financially weak. In case they would have formed based on economic status of majority of people in a particular caste, we find people of so called upper caste are below poverty line till now.

Brahmins are called upper caste, and they are the people who are affected by reservation, etc. TN government gave monetary help to students of backward community. But in reality, most of the Brahmins are below poverty line, and have their livelihood from all sorts of menial jobs. Towards north, Brahmins can be easily found cleaning public toilets, a menial job that the government projects as if it is being done only by Dalits since ages. Fifty per cent of rickshaw-pullers in Delhi’s Patel Nagar are Brahmins.

They argue that Pandits are most rich people. The fact is that now, Pandits are living as refugees in their own land. So, on what basis the government is still giving benefits to dalits, and backward community? The answer is Vote Banks. This is what all political parties look for and support to.

Jayalalitha in her previous term said that she will provide subsidies to Christians for their trip to Jerusalem, as government does for Muslim's Haj. Many of the 108 Divyadesams are not having proper road facility too. But she has no care about those.

At Tamil Nadu's Ranganathaswamy Temple, a priest's monthly salary is Rs 300 (Census Department studies) and a daily allowance of one measure of rice. The government staff at the same temple receive Rs 2,500 plus per month. But all priests in temples belong to upper caste. They have no benefits from the government. But government spends Rs 1,000 crores for salaries of imams in mosques and Rs 200 crores as Haj subsidies. They have a large vote banks while in upper caste it is negligible.

This is called secularism. Jaihind.

Conversion

Recently, I happened to see this video on internet.

When we think rationally, we can understand the truth. It is said that there is no evidence to prove that Elam ko is a follower of Jainism, or the idealogies are exclusive to Jainism. There is also no proof that they are exclusive to Christianity too. All religions lead people over the right path of life. No religion preaches adharma. So, the ideologies will be similar. It is absurd to jump into such conclusions with these arguments.

As of I know there is no God of Pardon in Silappadhikaaram. After king dies she comes out to streets, and burns Madurai and that only the righteous, old, children are spared. She did not give excuse to anyone. There is no reference to any Christian Gods or people like Thomas in Silappadhikaaram. Even Dhurva followed austerity and penance to sit on the lap of Lord Vishnu. Can we link that with Lazarus in lap of Abraham?

1+1=2 in England. The same in India too. Can we jump into conclusion that Indians learnt mathematics from British?

Spreading Christianity and converting people to Christianity is considered sacred and there are missions working on it. Funds too come from foreign countries for this. I'm not blaming the religion. I say that such activities should not be encouraged especially in our country.

Spreading their religion by brainwashing the people or attracting them with money should not be encouraged. Against this ADMK government brought Anti-Forcible conversion law. All Christian missionaries opposed it, saying it is unnecessary as no one does that. If so, what concerns them? How minorities are affected by that law? Yet, it was removed to safeguard the vote banks.

In future they may say, Solomon Paapaiyah explained Thirukkural in Sun TV, and so Thiruvalluvar belongs to Christianity. As a common man, I can understand these things to be absurd. It will be so for others too. But such things may brainwash some people. This is a threat to our culture. But the government will never take any action against such things. An Italian lady ruling our country will help her country, and her people like Kwatrochi, and her religion.

Beware of such missions. Think rationally. Jaihind

அடுத்த 5 ஆண்டுகளில் கருணாநிதியின் குடும்பம் நிஜ சிங்கப்பூரை விலைக்கு வாங்கிவிடும்.  

இப்பொழுது நீங்கள் தேர்ந்தெடுக்க போவது மாநில அரசை நியமிக்கபோகும் சாதாரண தேர்தல் அல்ல..

மாறாக நம் தீர்ப்பு உலக மக்களால் திரும்பி பார்க்கப்பட வேண்டும்.

இது அநியாய,அராஜக ஆட்சிக்கு நாம் அளிக்கும் சம்மட்டி அடியாக இருக்க வேண்டும்.

Inception

We have the nature of believing whatever said by a foreigner, foreign company, or foreign culture, especially the western. But we do not have that belief in our country's counterpart. This is mainly due to the idea which is incepted (not in dream) in minds of our people by the British for their benefit ie)divide and rule India.

They created enmity among ourselves. For instance when British came to India, they tried to spread their religion and convert all Indians to their religion. Conversion is considered as sacred in Christianity and still there are funds coming from countries like Italy to such missions in India. But in the beginning it was hard to convert for them as people such as Brahmins spread good moral values to people. So they created enmity in minds of people against Brahmins, that they suppress other community. For a community to suppress the others, the community must either have money or power. But Brahmins had neither. So they can no way suppress others. The idea is incepted in minds of Indians by foreigners.

Many scholars like Rajaji cited Gita and said that the term 'Aryan' does not refer some racial term, but refer to one who is of good character. Dravidian refer to the people who live at southern part. 'Dravidian' is not opposite of 'Aryan'. The opposite of 'Aryan' is 'Anaryan'. But we believed what foreigners like Max Muller said the baseless stupid stories of war.

We started accepting the truth only when these arguments are backed by foreign researchers like Michael Danino in his book, 'The Invasion That Never Was'.

People did not accept that Ramayana, and Mahabharatha are not just myths but the history. There were many criticisms on characters of vanaras for monkeys could not speak. But it reduced when it was accepted that there could be a race who are intermediate between human and monkeys, and vanaras are not monkeys. This was backed by Darwin's theory.

The same applies to characters like Jaambavaan, who was like  a bear. But Darwin's theory applies here too as bear and human has some resembling characters say bear is the only animal which can cry like human.

These instances shows that we have more belief on theories by foreigners than by our own.

There are many Indian companies which produce products of good quality and also of less price. But most of the people go for foreign brands though they are costly. There is a craze for products of Amway among people, and they sell all of their products for more than 3 times the cost of other products. They say that they give for direct cost rather than coming through many levels like other products. If so, the products must be much cheaper, but it is not so. A 200 gm tooth paste costs Rs.250. But people beleive in the stupid stories they say and buy them.

Amway encourages a type of marketing called 'Multi-Level marketing'. say if I join in that group by paying some initial amount, then I look for some more people to join for I need to get benefited. The rule here is, "I got cheated. So I look for some more people to get cheated". Is this a good thought?

I hope there is no word required about the impact of western culture over our culture.

We need to come out of the attraction on foreign culture, brands, etc and understand the greatness of ours. We need to understand that the idea that foreign is always better than ours is not our own idea, but incepted into our minds by others. Think rationally to understand the truth.

What did we get?

At present, everyone in Tamil Nadu knows about DMK, and how much wealth Karunanidhi and his family has. All are aware how the economic growth of TN reduced in DMK's period.

At the sametime, all knows about the wealth of Jayalalitha too. Though she did some good things like bringing water to Chennai by Veeranam project(DMK started this project and earned a lot and closed the project as not feasible. But Jaya didi it and now it serves Chennai), she also earned a lot. As everyone comes to politics to earn, she too did so.

As a common man I am able to understand this. So, all persons will be able to understand it. Not only to present day poiticians like Karunanidhi, and Jayalalitha, but also about last generation too.

For instance let us take Annadurai. Everyone knows about him. He was in DK, then started new party DMK. At that time Karunanidhi referred him as fallen hairs of Periyar, but later he too joined it. All knows why he started new party. The reason is Periyar married Maniyammai. The main reason is Periyar admitted that he will be out of politics. Anna thought that he could not gain anything then. So he started new party.

There are many false facts told about him. It is said that he got doctorate from Yel University. The truth is he just went to that university. It did not give him doctorate at all.

All knows that Anna's words about 'Kadamai Kanniyam Kattupaadu' of which he never had even one. All learned people know about that even in those days. The magazines like Thughlak wrote about that.

MGR got Bharatha Ratna. Does he deserves that? What did he do for that? Did he invent anything like G D Naidu? There are/were many great people than him in politics. Kamaraj, Vajpayee, etc are more great personalities than him. He paved way for his party members to earn in his name and brought Jayalalitha to politics.

But the question to my mind is how can such people survive till now? Why does people leave such people in politics till now? For simplicity let we have the question as how did Karunanidhi come to power in last election? How did Jayalalitha win the election? How did Annadurai win  the election?


The answer which I feel is:
People think like this. "Last term DMK ruled. What did we achieve? Nothing. The previous term  ADMK ruled. What did we achieve? Nothing. We got a mark on our left hand after voting. Nothing else we got. Anyway we are not going to get anything, no matter who comes to power. Ok. Let us just vote to some party, so that they can win." 'We' refers to Tamil Nadu as a whole.

Such is the state of these days politics, state, and country as a whole. Long live 'Democracy'.

Some expectation about election 2011

At present DMDK alliance with ADMK has been confirmed. So, DMK is in necessity to alliance with Congress to face the election. This is good time for Congress to demand. Moreover, the alliance is not the necessity for Congress but for DMK it is so. Even if Congress stands alone, though it may lose in almost all constituency, it does not affect Congress much. But it affects DMK a lot. This paves way for ADMK to get majority.

Even if Congress-DMK alliance is confirmed, there are more chances for the ADMK, and its alliance to win the election. To increase the chance for ADMK she needs to allocate appropriate nominees for the constituencies. This is where she lost in previous election. If Congress-DMK is confirmed, they will try all means to win over the election. Having Government servants in their hands, they may try some malpractices in the election. But beyond that there are chances for ADMK to win.

There is less chance for ADMK to get majority. She needs the help of DMDK to form Government. This is the right time for Captain to place his demands. He can ask for one or two ministers from his party which must be confirmed before election. It is not good to believe in Jayalalitha after election.

As confidence in DMK has been reduced with the people due to the growth of their family and other problems like 2G, power cut, etc there is less chance for them to win provided the election was honest.

Vijayakanth must be careful with Jayalalitha, for he should not be made like other alliance parties like Vai Ko(MDMK), or Tha Pandian(Communist). This is a better chance for him to develop faith on him in minds of people. According to me BJP cannot get anything without making alliance. Its alliance with ADMK is welcome as it may increase the strength of ADMK, to some extent.

I feel BJP is the best party but it cannot get votes alone. It needs to earn fame as of TN is concerned. For that it requires a good leader which is missing over here.

If DMK did not accept the demands of Congress there are chances for Congress to pull DMDK to form alliance which should not happen. That may make the result favorable for none. Moreover DMK will not allow such things to happen.

As of now we can expect ADMK and its alliance to win the election, but ADMK getting majority is a question. But as of now ADMK can concentrate on defeating DMK. She can also get majority if she is careful in its nominee in each constituency, that they must have some votes for themselves rather than ADMK. As I already said, this is where she lost in previous election

TN should get freed from DMK is the very requirement as of now to people. Congress is as equally dangerous as DMK.

Manmadhan Ambu

"Manmadhan Ambu"-I feel the title is logical after seeing the movie.

Man=Mannar(Kamal)
Madhan=Madhanagopal(Madhavan)
Ambu=Ambujakshi(Trisha)

A good entertainment, with right mix of comedy which is natural. I think many would have said so about the movie. But I would like to say something different.

Madhavan, a bussiness man from a Brahmin family and Trisha, an actress with name screen name Nisha, loves each other. The film opens so. Madhavan, is pictured as the one who doubts Trisha, and drinks. Madhavan's mother makes such a feeling in Madhavan to avoid Trisha.

Kamal shows this in almost all of his films - Panchathandiram, Pammal K Sambandham, etc. Creating a Brahmin character in his movies and showing bad about them. Can't he take the film without a mention about caste. Why should he create such impression about a particular community of the society?

Madhavan showed as a full time drunk is a Brahmin. Madhavan's mother who tries to avoid Trisha by making Madhavan doubt Trisha. He appoints a detective to watch over her. Will Kamal dare to make such a movie with the role of Madhavan as a Muslim, or Christian? He will not even dare to show them as any other community of Hindus, like Devars, etc. I too don't ask for it. He can show such characters without any mention about the community. But he does not do so. In all of his films he is showing Brahmins in such role.

The film ends with the pair Madhavan-Sangeetha, and Kamal-Trisha. Yes, it should be so. Madhavan-Trisha pair is not correct because both are Brahmins. According to Kamal, it should be shown as a Brahmin marrying a non Brahmin. I do not say that he should not do so. I ask why he is always targeting Brahmins. Will he dare to show any other community of the society with such characters repeatedly in all of his films?  No. Because, it would be a problem for him if he targets any other community. But he can say anything about Brahmins.

Please do not watch such movies in theatres and make profit for them. Doing so will encourage them. If required watch in DVDs, or download from the internet. Let such films be a flop in theatre. At least then they will take movies in neutral.

Sushma swaraj  said no alliance with AIADMK in TN. The alliance with ADMK is also welcome. Not only Hindutva, everyone who is concerned about nation, oppose DMK. To defeat DMK, they have faith in ADMK.

Most of the media supporting DMK. This may misguide people. I feel, somewhat neutral source is the internet like blogs, buzz, etc.

Statutory Warnings

"Cigarette smoking is injurious to health"-This is a statutory warning in cigarette packets. Similar warnings you can see in other tobacco products and alcoholic products. Government instructs to do so.

Does the Government has real concern on people? If so, it should have abolished such products from the country/state. But it did not do so. Moreover smoking affects the people around us too.

Some people argue that beer is good. Yes, of course it is good if you own a winery. It contains carbohydrates, sodium, etc along with alcohol. Though alcohol reduces stress, it creates addiction, depression, and affects the liver, and central nervous system. Researches show that medicines which contains alchohols/intoxicants create addiction. For example, those who use headcahe pills, would not get releived from headache unless they use it.

In campaign for Gujarat election, Congress copied the free television scheme from DMK. They could have implemented the elimination of  alcohol in the country which was done in Gujarat. They are ready to copy a scheme to win in election, but could not use a good method for people's welfare, at least by seeing a state doing it. This shows how much concern does Congress have over the people.

People consider smoking or drinking as a style these days. They argue that as their freedom. To make man live in a correct way which is beneficial for himself and for the society, culture has evolved. If we can live as we like, then what is the difference between man and an animal. Movies projects drinking, or smoking, thereby creating temptations in hearts of people. The statutory warning appears here too, which is of no use.

According to Supreme court of India,

"...film motivates thought and action and assures a high degree of attention and retention as compared to the printed word. The combination of act and speech, sight and sound in semi darkness of the theatre with elimination of all distracting ideas will have a strong impact on the minds of the viewers and can affect emotions. Therefore, it has as much potential for evil as it has for good and has an equal potential to instill or cultivate violent or good behaviour. It cannot be equated with other modes of communication."

But they do not care about the people. At most they have given statutory warnings and certification for films. Nowadays it is becoming more liberal. It should change. People's welfare is very goal of the government and society.

People smoke in public places, caring about none around them. Do they dare to smoke in their house in front of their children? So, Do they mean, their family members should not be affected, but others can be affected? What a selfishness!

As individuals we can stop such habits and help the welfare of society.

Timing by Vaariyaar

It was an evening. The temple was crowded. People were eager to listen to Krubaananda Vaariyaar. He used to say some devotional stories in temples. That day too he was doing so.

He wants the people to listen to him. But how to confirm it? He do ask some questions in the middle of his speech. He will prefer to ask children. That day too, he pointed a boy, may be of 10.

The question is, "Who is the father of Muruga?". Last night the boy had seen the movie 'Thiuvilaiyaadal'. Don't know whether he understood the story, but attracted by the acting of 'Nadigar Thilagam', Sivaji Ganesan. Even if someone says the about Kattabomman, Sivaji as Kattabomman comes to our mind. His acting attracts everyone.

The boy answered Sivaji. The people started laughing. Vaariyaar asked,"Why are you laughing? His answer is correct". He explained,"There is a practise in North, in order to give respect they used to refer them by adding a 'ji' after their name, say Gandhiji, etc. I think, he too wished to give respect to Lord Siva."

Dharma - Adharma

Rama promised to kill Vali and give the kingdom to Sugriva. Sugriva was given a garland for Rama to identify him as Vali and Sugriva look alike.

Sugriva calls Vali to fight with him. Thara, wife of Vali forbades him since she doubts as he is waering a garland. Moreover she says that she came to know that Rama and Lakshmana came to Kishkinta. So she doubts Rama to be helping Sugriva.

Vali disliking the advice, replies, "Don't you worry about Rama. He knows dharma; he is one brought up in he fear of sin. Oh, let me alone, will you? I may tell you I shall not kill Sugriva, only I will teach the presumptuous fellow a lesson he won't forget and let him go. Let me go, I tell you. You have spoken out of the fullness of your love for me. I shall humble  Sugriva and send him back and return soon with victory. Have no fear for me."

He added, "You know about Rama. He has 3 brothers. One brother came along with him to forest. The other two brothers were worshipping his sandals. If my brother had asked Rama to kill me, he
would have told him about his brothers and adviced him to be devoted to me". He further said, "If anyone else had told these words, I would have slayed him. But I did not kill you as you're a woman". We need to note the words," You're a woman". He did not say "You're my wife".

Then he goes to fight with Sugriva, and Rama hits him with an arrow. Vali saw the arrow and came to know it was from Rama. Rama appeared before him. Vali asked,"Is it you who killed me?". He said to Rama what his wife told and his replies. He added,"Oh! It did not strike me that you are away from your wife. If a man is separated from his wife he could not be in normal state. He could not think on what he does. So is your state."

"If it was battle with me you wanted", he said, "I would have given it to you, and slain by me in fair combat you might have been lying in the dust as I do now. Or if it was help to recover your Sita I would have won her back for you in a day. I would have killed Ravana and dragged his body with a rope round the neck and placed it at your feet. No matter where he has hidden Sita, I would have discovered her and restored her to you."

Valmiki has it that Rama gave some explanation with which Vali was satisfied. Because anything done in defense of dharma is dharma.When the other side follows adharma in war, you need not hesitate to use adharma. Everything becomes fair in war.

Same is the situation where Krishna deals with Kauravas in Kurukshetra. He did not follow dharma in many situatuions like killing Dhrona, Bheeshma, etc.

Some feel, the explanation seems not acceptable. Even, Rajaji said so. But it is acceptable when we see the result of similar situations in later periods. Prithvi Raj Chauhan followed dharma when he let off Mohammed Ghori the first time. India still hasn't recovered from that mistake. Vijayanagar empire defeated Deccan Sultanates for 3 centuries in many wars. But it did not destroy them and let them off. It lost one war in 1565.Just one war. Just visit Hampi today to know what happened then.

Gandhi fasted to force Nehru to give Pakistan Rs.55 crore as share from reserve bank. He cited dharma as the reason. Pakistan waged a war against India with that money.

Rama and Krishna showed the way to fight a war. Prithvi Raj Chauhan, Rayas and Gandhi did not understand it.

CHANGE WE NEED

The greatest scams in amount and number happened in the government lead by Congress. TN can be proud as DMK is a main part of it.

Free schemes:
The free schemes are the best way to waste the governments money and increase price hike of all basic needs. In a long run, it will not be useful. "Free schemes will be available till poor people exists", stated by Karunanidhi. Actually it should be till votes exists for poor people.

The cost of all needs from vegetables to oil has become double.

Besides wasting the government's money and price hike, it makes people lazy. A man getting money from NREGA, having rice from ration, lives without doing work.

Where does the free television go?
The television which is got from state Government in morning is sold to shops, and the money goes back to the state government in the evening through TASMAK.

House for poor:
With 75,000 people has to build house. The rate of cement Rs. 300 per 50 kg. The rate of brick is Rs. 10 per stone. The cost of imported cement from Pakistan works out to Rs.190 including transport.

Insurance:
To save people's life, the government should increase the standard of government hospitals. If GHs are better why do people go to private hospitals? It is enough to increase the infra structure in GH and be strict with the doctors there. But giving insurance is to make benefit for the insurance company and waste public money.

Fishermen Dead, Letters to PM:
For all problems of people, a letter is written to PM. Now Nirupama Rao is going to Sri Lanka after 400 fishermen are dead. She is going now because election is nearing in TN.

Fasting:
The greatest drama ever seen. Fasting for half a day, is like a gap between breakfast and lunch.

New secretariat:
A temporary set for the opening of secretariat, costed 3 crores. Public money is wasted in full swing.

Semmozhi maanaadu:
It was more like a function to praise Karunanidhi. Vali, Pa Vijay, etc praised him till their satisfaction. Don't know whether it satisfied CM. But no invitation to Abdul Kalaam. No word about U V Swaminaatha Iyer. He is the one who took all ancient tamil scripts from and printed through press. If not, all tamil literatures in leaves would have been the prey to termites. But mention mention about him in maanaadu.

After all, what we got from maanaadu. Amidst all problems like the fishermen dying in hands of Sri Lankan navy, price hike in the state, power cut, is the function necessary? Again, a grand waste of public money.

Power cut:
Nowadays no one speak about power cut. Has it reduced? No. It became usual for the people. People started planning their activities keeping in mind the power cut also.

GG:
Everyone knows about it. The recent news is that the company, which bought the the license, has link with Dawood. Besides Congress govt helping and surrendering to terrorism, Pakistan and China, DMK also helped for their part.
Entertainment Tax Exemption for Films with Tamil names:

We are earning 20,000 and paying tax. but those who make film with 160 crores and earn 380 crores need not pay tax. There is a great loss for the Govt in this. But no one has bothered about that. Being a sensitive issue, opposition even never talked about this.

If the Govt wish to forsake the loss, it can give tax reduction to small scale industries, and let them improve. Encouraging small scale industries is done in Gujarat. As a single family producing, they are getting benefit from these too


Removing a bad government is more important than the need for good government. So, try to vote to remove DMK. In case captain stands alone, voting for him would be advantageous for DMK, as the vote for AIADMK, the big party next to DMK, reduces paving way for DMK to come to power.

Think while you vote. Vote not for money. The money given to us will be earned by them in minimum 1 year. We will be spending that money in 30 days for our basic needs itself. For the remaining days we need to suffer.

IMPORTANT: It is important that we must vote. Then we can decide vote for whom.

Leave pottuttu oorukku poi vote podanum. yaar povadhu?

Avoid such thought. Be a responsible citizen.
